It is the default protocol in the catalogue and sits at the top of the protocol list in the apps. It is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android; on Windows and Linux choose another protocol such as MeduzaVPN, WireGuard or VLESS.

How is ULTRA different from the MeduzaVPN protocol?
Both are our own connection modes made for restrictive networks, and both run on your personal server. ULTRA is the newer one and the apps try it first; the MeduzaVPN protocol remains an excellent fallback and is available on more platforms, including Windows and Linux.
Which devices support ULTRA?
iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, through the MeduzaVPN apps. It is not offered on Windows or Linux yet — those platforms have the full set of other protocols, including the MeduzaVPN protocol, WireGuard and VLESS.
Do I need to configure anything?
No. ULTRA is delivered with your server and set up by the app. There is no configuration file to import and no third-party client to install.
What if ULTRA does not connect on my network?
Switch protocol in the app — the same server also carries the MeduzaVPN protocol, WireGuard, VLESS, Xray, V2Ray, Outline, Shadowsocks, Hysteria and others. Networks differ, and a protocol that fails on one often works on the next.
Does ULTRA cost extra?
No. Every protocol on your personal server is included in the price of the VPN; you can switch between them as often as you like.
