No. SOCKS5 changes your IP and routes traffic per app, but on its own it does not encrypt your data. If you need a fully encrypted tunnel, choose a VPN protocol such as WireGuard or VLESS — they're available on your MeduzaVPN server too.
How is SOCKS5 different from a VPN?
A VPN wraps all of your system's traffic in an encrypted tunnel. SOCKS5 works at the level of individual apps and changes your IP without encryption. SOCKS5 is handy when you only need to route a specific program through the proxy.
