Sharing: how to give someone one VPN or your whole subscription

How sharing works

• One VPN, or the whole subscriptionWhen you create the invitation you choose what it covers: this one location, or your entire subscription — every VPN you have, including the ones you add later. The second option suits a household; the first is for when someone needs one specific server.
• Access travels, files do notYour guest never receives a config file or a key from you. They receive the right to request those themselves under their own account, which is why everything still works for them after you change your IP or move to another location.
• Guests connect, but change nothingThey can connect and download their own configurations. They cannot renew the service, rename it, change its location or IP, reinstall or redeploy the server, switch the IP family or set up split tunneling — those sections are simply not shown to them, and the server checks the owner on every change anyway. Handing access back is the one thing they can always do.
• Revoking is one click tooYou always see who has access and can revoke any of it. On MeduzaVPN ULTRA the guest's devices are removed from the server straight away. Other protocols share one key per server, so a configuration your guest already saved keeps working until you press Change IP — the interface says so when you revoke.

How to share

1. Open the service cardIn your account, under Active services, press Share on the card of the VPN you mean. The same thing lives in the MeduzaVPN app under Settings → Sharing, and in the Share VPN card in the server's settings.
2. Choose what you are sharingThis VPN only, or the whole subscription. The same screen shows how many places are taken: five per account share and five per individual VPN, and invitations nobody has accepted yet take a place too.
3. Send the link or show the QR codeThe invitation is a link of the form meduzavpn.com/s/… and a QR code for it. It is one-time and lasts 24 hours; if nobody accepted it in time, create a new one.
4. They accept the invitationThey open the link and accept it in their own MeduzaVPN account, on the site or in the app. No account yet — it is created in the same step. Your VPN then appears in their service list.

Worth knowing first

• Five places for an account share and five for each individual VPN. Open invitations that nobody has accepted count against that — cancel the spare ones or revoke somebody's access.
• An invitation is one-time and lasts 24 hours. It can only be accepted in a MeduzaVPN account, and not in your own — you cannot share with yourself.
• You still pay. Your guest gets no renewal, expiry, payment or trial reminders for a VPN that was shared with them, because it is not their bill.
• Cancelling the service or deleting your account revokes the access you granted along with it.

On MeduzaVPN ULTRA a guest enrols their own devices and can revoke only those — yours are untouched. If an invitation will not go through, the interface names the reason: no such invitation, already used or expired, it is your own, the owner has no free places, or you already use this access.
